Guy Ramsay Fieri is a versatile restaurant talent, author, game show host, husband, father, and a TV personality more commonly known as Guy Fieri. He became known as a media sensation after winning the second session of the famous Next Food Network Star Show. Guy Fieri was born on 22 January 1968 in Columbus, Ohio, USA, the son of Penny Anne, mother, and Lewis James Ferry, father. He grew up in Ferndale in the rural area of Humboldt County, California. He is American and of Italian descent (his paternal grandfather was of Italian descent). Fieri changed his surname Ferry back to his family’s original surname, Fieri or Fiery when he married Giuseppe Fieri in 1995 in honor of his immigrant great-grandfather Giuseppe Fieri.
During his time at Ferndale Elementary School, Fieri began washing dishes and selling pretzels with his “Awesome Pretzel” cart to finance his study trip to France. When he returned to the United States, he took a job at the Red Lion Inn in Eureka, California, which he held conscientiously until he left for college in Las Vegas.

He then worked at Stouffer’s as a manager for a California restaurant in Long Beach. He spent approximately three years in Southern California and rose to become District Manager of Louise’s Trattoria, where he managed six profitable locations for the company, as well as recruiting and training for the restaurant.
