After scoring .307/.347/.453 goals with eight home runs, he was named Brewers Minor League Player of the Year and was on the team’s 40-man list at the end of the season. Orlando also played in the 2015 All-Star Futures Game, and between 2014 and 2015 he also played for the Caribes de Anzoategui of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League during the MLB’s game breaks.

He started the 2016 season with the Colorado Springs Sky Sox of the Pacific Coast League, class AAA. In August of the same year, he had his first appearance in the Major League. By the end of the season, he had played in fifty-five Brewers games, scoring four home runs and seventeen RBIs to reach .219. In 2017, he played one hundred and fifty-three games with 0.277 goals, fifteen home runs, and fourteen stolen bases.

After scoring .197 goals in the 2018 season, Orlando Arcia was demoted to AAA in July for the second consecutive season. He was called back the next month and ended the season with a .236 hit, scoring three home runs and thirty RBI, including two walk-off singles.

Orlando Arcia’s Family and Wife

Arcia is the son of Lilibeth and Oswaldo Arcia, he has an older brother and two sisters. They all grew up in Cantaura – a district rich in oil and natural gas, about 60 miles inland from the Caribbean.

When he was growing up, he was surrounded by baseball lovers and players, so it was almost natural that he developed an interest in the game. His mother once played as a shortstop and was also captain of the Venezuelan national softball team. His father was once a catcher in the record league. Besides his parents, his older brother Oswaldo jr. is another person who influenced him in baseball.

Arcia remembers playing with his old man – a swinging left-hander who was on his way to the Major League at the time. He also remembers how they spent the whole afternoon playing ball in the neighborhood. And when his older brother went pro, Arcia said he wanted to go pro too.

Oswaldo Jr. played for a number of well-known teams in the MLB such as the San Diego Padres, the Minnesota Twins, the Miami Marlins, and the Bay Rays before signing with the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters of the Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB).

Orlando is currently neither married nor married to a lady. He is probably more focused on his career right now and would do the necessary in due course.
