Ian Kinsler is one of the top athletes with American heritage. He is a professional baseball player currently under contract with the Boston Red Sox of Major League Baseball (MLB), where he is the second baseman. Ian Michael Kinsler was born on June 22, 1982, in Tucson, Arizona. He was brought up as a Jew because of his Jewish father, Howard Kinsler. Ian was greatly influenced by Howard, who once played basketball at the University of Arizona and also worked as the warden of a state prison. At a very young age, his father began training him in this sport and was a strict coach. Ian remembers when he was 13 years old and his father gave him and his teammates, who were preparing for a championship in the PONY league, some instructions, Ian rolled his eyes, which made his father put him on the bench for the next game. This, he admitted, made him humble.

As for education, Ian Kinsler was enrolled at Canyon del Oro High School in the suburb of Tucson, Oro Valley, Arizona. During his school years, between 1997 and 2000, he helped lead the baseball team to state titles. As a senior, he earned the honor of the second team with a .380 hit in the second All-League and a .504 hit with a total of five home runs, coupled with 26 stolen bases.

Collegiate Career   

In 2000, right out of high school, the Arizona Diamondbacks offered Kinsler a job in the 29th grade, but he turned it down because he wanted to play college football before turning pro. With this in mind, he was accepted into Central Arizona College, where he played college baseball. He managed to beat 24 stolen bases, 37 RBIs, and .405 with 17 doubles.

He also got the chance to play shortstop with future players like Rich Harden, Scott Hairston, etc., and earned a second-team All-ACCAC. Due to his impressive performance, the Diamondbacks went to Ian’s draft in the 26th round in 2001, but despite this, Ian Kinsler declined again and stated that he believed that playing baseball for a slightly longer period of time in college would improve his game a lot.

Professional Career

Ian Kinsler finally entered the 2003 design and was selected by The Diamondbacks. After playing for three years, he was transferred to the Rangers as a starting base, who made their debut in the Major League on April 3 of the same year in the game against the Boston Red Sox. It happened to be the game in which he beat his first Major League “at bat”.

In November 2013, he was then transferred to the Detroit Tigers, a move that resulted from a one-to-one trade between the All-Stars. The next trade went to the Los Angeles Angels, on December 13, 2017, and later, on July 30, 2018, Ian signed with the Boston Red Sox.

Ian Kinsler is a man who has long since left bachelorhood behind, as he is happily married to his lovely wife Tess Brady. Interestingly, Ian and Tess met a long time ago when they were in high school and were together until 2006 (November 18th) when they took the bold leap to man and wife in a simple meeting of close family and friends.

Together, they have two wonderful children, a daughter named Rian Brooklyn Kinsler, born December 5, 2008, and a son, Jack Jamisson Kinsler, born June 8, 2011. Their love story is quite unique, and even after 12 years of marriage, there is no sign that they will pack up soon.
