Michelle Fairley: Bio & Age
Michelle Fairley was born in Coleraine, Northern Ireland, on 17 January 1964, the daughter of Brian and Theresa Fairley. As a young girl, she attended a Roman Catholic grammar school. Later, as a teenager, she joined the Ulster Youth Theatre.
After graduating she moved to Belfast where she developed her acting talent at Fringe Benefits, a repertory theatre. Another remarkable member of Fringe Benefits is Conleth Hills, who plays Varys on Game Of Thrones.
Michelle later appeared on a number of television shows, including The Bill, Lovejoy, Holby City, Inspector Morse, and Casualty. She also played a supporting role in the British feature film product Harry Potter. She joined the franchise in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, where she played Mrs. Granger, the mother of one of the main characters. She replaced Heather Bleasdale in the role of Mrs. Granger after Heather had already appeared in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets as Mrs. Granger, the mother of Hermoine.
