Levi Meaden is a Canadian actor. Since his entry into the mainstream in 2012, Meaden’s career has grown exponentially. He is known for television shows like Aftermath, The Killing, and Olympus. Meaden has appeared in a number of films, including blockbuster movies like War for the Planet of the Apes and Pacific Rim: The Rebellion.
In addition to his successful career, Levi Meaden is also popular for his romance with Ariel Winter, the darling of the modern family. The enormous age difference of 10 years between them was one of the main points of discussion in their relationship, more about that in a moment.
Levi Meaden Bio
Levi Meaden was born on September 13, 1987, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada and grew up in Calgary, Alberta. In his October 2016 interview with Upfront NY, Levi Meaden revealed that he became interested in acting at a very early age and began playing in local theaters in Calgary.
Eventually, as a teenager, Levi stopped acting but maintained his interest in entertainment. After high school, he ended up at the Prague Centre for Film Education in the Czech Republic, where he studied writing and directing. During his time at school, Levi’s passion for acting was rekindled by one of his teachers named Simon Howard.
Levi resumed acting and in 2009 made his first screen debut in the short film Brotherly Love, written and directed by Marcus Schwenzel. After finishing his studies in the Czech language Levi moved to Vancouver where he started working for a production company. The director Roger Larry, who owned the production company Levi worked for, encouraged him to consider a full-time career as an actor.
Larry helped Levi land an agent, and he began dubbing small roles in television shows and short films. One of his earliest successes was the 2012 direct-to-video horror movie 1313: Bigfoot Island. Levi was then to appear on TV shows like The Secret Circle, Behind the 8-Ball, and Fast Human.
The year 2014 was to be Meaden’s breakthrough year, as he appeared on three major TV shows. These included Almost Human, The Killing, and The 100, followed by a recurring role on Olympus, iZombie, and an appearance in an episode of Legends of Tomorrow.
His career received a huge boost after he portrayed Copeland’s eldest child, Matt Copeland, in the first season of the Canadian series Apocalyptic Survival, Aftermath, which aired on Syfy. Unfortunately, the series was canceled after its first season in 2016.
Levi then began to focus on the big screen. He had three films released in 2017 – War for the Planet of the Apes, Incontrol, and Alice in the Attic. The latter was his debut as the leading actor in a film. In the sequel Pacific Rim, he played the role of Cadet Ilya: The Rebellion.
His Personal Life
Levi Meaden was one of these inconspicuous celebrities until photos and the news came out that he was to meet the over-popular Ariel Winter in November 2016.
Although it is not clear how they met, there is speculation that it may have been through a mutual friend. This mutual friend is suspected to be Winter’s friend Sterling Beaumon, who acted together with Meaden in The Killing.
Their first red carpet appearance together was on December 4, 2016, at the Trevor Project fundraiser TrevorLive Los Angeles. About 6 months after their relationship began, Levi moved into Winter’s home in Sherman Oaks. The house is her first ever, and she bought it in 2015, as she revealed in her interview with Jimmy Kimmel. Fans strongly criticized Levi for living with Winter, who is only a young adult, but Winter, who is known for beating up her trolls, has defended her choice many times.
