In her second year of high school, Tyreke Evans drew comparisons with tire legend Tracy McGrady. That says a lot about his immense talent at such an early stage of his career.

The native Chester from Pennsylvania was born on September 19, 1989, as Tyreke Jamir Evans. He looks back on his high school career with great satisfaction. During his time at the American Christian Academy in Aston, he was on the first team of the Parade All-American as well as MVP and Co-MVP of McDonald’s High School All-American Game and the Jordan Brand Classic.
The player, who was in great demand by various universities, eventually chose the University of Memphis. After a long injury-free time on the sidelines, Tyreke Evans spent part of the 2011-2012 season with Italy’s Virtus Roma thanks to the NBA lockout. The following season he averaged over 15 points and 4 rebounds, although he missed a large part of the regular season due to injury.
Before the 2013-2014 season, Evans switched to the New Orleans Pelicans. He spent four years with the New Orleans Pelicans and had some enviable successes during that time. These included a career-high of 41 points against Oklahoma and an impressive win against his former employers in April 2015.
