While Brady’s relationship with Gisele was still in its infancy, the couple was struck by the shocking news of Bridget’s pregnancy with Brady’s child. In February 2007, Bridget revealed that her pregnancy was three months old. On August 22, 2007, at Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, California, she gave birth to a son named John Edward Thomas Moynahan aka Jack.

Pregnancy of Brady’s ex-girlfriend and co-parent conflict
The news of the pregnancy was not pleasant for any of the trios, it was rather a hidden blessing that was hard to accept. A year later, in 2008 after Jack was born, Bridget revealed in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar that she felt inconsolable after the separation and that the sudden pregnancy didn’t make things any easier. Bridget said the first thing she did when she came home with her new baby was “cry”. The tears, however, were not the result of sadness or depression or anything else, but of the fear of raising a newborn.
She told Harper’s Bazaar;
“Everyone says, ‘You give birth, you go home, and you have this amazing baby and it’s just beautiful, and I walked in and I just started sobbing……..All of a sudden, you have this newborn you have no training for. It’s frightening.”
About how she shared the news with her parents, she said;
“If you are suddenly pregnant and no one is at your side, even if you are in your 30s, it is a difficult conversation. “I’m a traditional girl and I believe in marriage, and I just always thought that’s the way I would do it. For a moment I found it hard to accept that this is the way I will start a family.
But despite the initial tension, Bridget revealed how happy motherhood had made her;
“This traumatic time, when I was lovesick and then pregnant, turned my whole life upside down and took the wind out of my sails. But it has brought me so much. It’s golden and it’s hard and it was shitty. But now I have a child, and it’s the best thing in the world.”
On the other hand, Gisele also revealed her feelings about the pregnancy and how it affected her relationship with Brady. In an interview with Vanity Fair for the May 2009 issue, the supermodels revealed this;
“It was definitely a surprise for both of us. In the beginning, you live this romantic fantasy; you think: This can’t be true, this is so good! And then, oops, wake-up call! We were together for two and a half months when he found out, and it was a very challenging situation. Obviously, it’s not the ideal thing to do at the beginning”.
In another interview, this time with CBS News on November 10, 2015, Gisele revealed that after the pregnancy news, she was considering separating from Brady;
“It was a challenge because I’m here and I think I’m with this guy. We met, we started dating, everything is great, and then something like this happens, so I felt like I didn’t know what to do, so I just run away?
In both interviews, however, the now-retired runway model said that she accepted Bridget’s son Jack as her own son and that she knew Jack as a sweet and kind bonus child. But her comments in the first interview with Vanity Fair didn’t sound so pleasant for Bridget, as she is said to have been hurt by Gisele’s remarks. Gisele said about Jack in the 2009 interview;
“He is a little angel – the sweetest, cuddliest, and most loving baby. I feel blessed to have him in my life. I understand that he has a mother and I respect that, but for me, it is not that the child is not my child just because someone else gave birth to it. I feel that it is 100 percent, my child. I want him to have a good relationship with his mother because that is important, but I love him as much as if he were my child. From the very first day, I have the feeling that he is my son.
