Rupert Evans is a UK-born actor who became famous for his role as FBI agent John Myers in the 2004 adaptation of the Mike Mignola comic Hellboy by director Guillermo del Toro.
Rupert was born on 9 March 1976 in Staffordshire, England. He studied at an independent boarding school (Bilton Grange School) in the village of Dunchurch, near the market town of Rugby in Warwickshire in the West Midlands, England.
He later moved to Milton Abbey School, another boarding school in the village of Milton Abbas near the market town of Blandford Forum in Dorset in southwest England. He completed his professional studies at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in South Kensington, London.
Rupert could be seen in Agora, which was filmed in Malta with Rachel Weisz and Max Minghella. He played the leading role as Edmund Allingham in The Village of the BBC. He played Elliot Howe in Rogue and Peter Fleming in Fleming: The Man Who Would Be Bond; and as Brother Godwyn in World Without End.
He also starred in the ITV sitcom High Stakes with Richard Wilson and Paradise Heights, the BBC drama starring Neil Morrissey. Evans played a lead role in the Amazon series “The Man in the High Stakes”.
Over the years he has proven his versatility by trying his hand at dubbing, intoning characters in video games such as Q.U.B.E. and the audiobook Counter-Measures.
Over the course of his career, Evans has also appeared in many theatre productions, mostly playing classic English roles. He appeared in 2006 in a cast of Romeo and Juliet as Romeo. Rupert is a very interesting character with an insatiable thirst for adventure; he has proudly shown his scars from incidents such as the fall of walls. One of the many scars on his body is one he got from a lion bite. When he was in Zimbabwe at the age of 14, he bravely stroked a sleeping lion. It backfired when the lion expressed his displeasure that his sleep was interrupted.

He is also an avowed technology addict and is usually very interested in the technology used in filming. His favorite devices are Tivoli audio digital radios, and he claims to have a DAB device in every room of his apartment. Rupert is also a big fan of computer games and admits that he was once addicted to Tiger Woods Golf. He said
I was up until 3 am every night and it ruined my life, so I had to go into cold turkey and give it up.
Although the internet is very extensive, Rupert refuses to ever search for himself on Google, as other celebrities usually do.

There has been much speculation about Rupert’s sexuality. One thing’s for sure: he’s not gay! He is one of the few celebrities who have successfully protected their private lives from the prying eyes of the media. He has never spoken openly about his love life in any interviews, except when he mentioned a girlfriend in passing when describing his love for video games. He said that his “girlfriend” was usually upset that he was addicted to games.
The only time he was seen at an event with a “date” was at the premiere of his appearance in the movie “Hellboy” on March 30, 2004, in Los Angeles. He walked the red carpet with actress Lyndsey Marshal, who was supposedly his girlfriend.

Rupert did not have a regular childhood and grew up in a farmhouse where he was raised by his grandmother because his parents were very busy with their work lives. He was the only child in the family, and he was raised under the supervision of his family members.
