Katt Williams was born on September 2, 1971, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was born under the birth name Micah Sierra Williams, the name “Katt” came up as a nickname for him later in life. He grew up in a politically and socially charged family, as his father was affiliated with the Black Panther Party. He grew up with a penchant for books and later had the chance to get a scholarship, for which he personally deliberately chose not to pass the test in order to disqualify himself.
At the age of 13, he left home and moved to Florida, where he lived on his own and fed himself as a salesman, allegedly even with some crime. He started out as a stand-up comedian, performing from Oklahoma to California. He performed on big stages like The Improv, The Comedy Club, and The Holiday Park Casino. He also released several comedy specials of his own. Williams made his film debut in the drama series “NYPD Blue” and had other projects where he worked with other stars like Martin Lawrence and Eddie Murphy.
