Amelia Fiona Driver is a British-American actress and singer-songwriter popularly known as Minnie Driver. She is best known for her roles in Speechless and Good Will Hunting. She was born Amelia Fiona Driver on January 31, 1970, in Marylebone, City of Westminster, England, the daughter of a successful businessman (father) and a fabric designer (mother). Her father, Charles Ronald Driver, and her mother, Gaynor Churchward, were never married. The two had an affair when Minnie was born, Charles was legally married, while Gaynor was never married at all. Her parents ended the affair when Minnie was 6 years old and she lived with her mother and her siblings Charlie Driver, Edward Churchward, and Kate Driver. Her brother Charlie has the same father but different mothers with her, while her other brother Edward has the same mother but a different father with her. Her sister Kate Driver is a film director, and both have the same parents.
