Robert Rihmeek Williams, professionally known as Meek Mill, is an American rapper and songwriter who didn’t get his success served on a silver platter. After many struggles in the industry, he founded his own label, Dream Chasers Records, named after his mixtape series.
The rapper has been making headlines lately for the wrong reasons, as a result of a hard 2-4 year prison sentence for a parole violation related to a 2008 gun possession case, but nevertheless, before his legal problems overshadowed his talent, Mill released a series of critically acclaimed mixtapes and albums that did a lot of good for his fortune.

Mill was born on May 6, 1987, in South Philadelphia and is the son of Kathy Williams, who grew up in poverty. Mill’s father, who was referred to as the family’s “black sheep”, was killed at the age of five in an apparent robbery. After the death of her husband, Kathy moved with Meek and his sister to North Philadelphia, where they lived in a three-room apartment on Berks Street.
Kathy had trouble feeding her family because her financial situation was bad. So she started cutting hair and doing other jobs, some of which were nothing to write home about. She also stole a little to support the family.
While Mill was shy in his youth, he was inspired to hip hop after meeting one of his father’s brothers, who went by the MC name “Grandmaster Nell”, who pioneered the Philadelphia hip hop scene as a disc jockey (DJ) in the late 1980s and influenced rap artists Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff. These early influences helped Mill increase his interest. He was also influenced by the independent hip-hop artists Chic Raw and Vodka, whom he emulated by watching their DVDs.

He then began his music career as a battle rapper during his early teenage years and later formed a rap group, The Bloodhounds. The Bloodhounds didn’t last long, but they released four mixtapes.
In 2008, Atlanta-based rapper T.I. signed his first record deal with Meek Mill, and later, in February 2011, after leaving Grand Hustle Records, Mill signed with the Maybach Music Group (MMG) of Miami-based Rick Ross. The rapper’s debut album, Dreams, and Nightmares, was released in 2012 under MMG and Warner Bros. records. The album debuted at number two on the U.S. Billboard 200.
In October 2012 Mill announced the start of his own label imprint Dream Chasers Records, named after his mixtape series. In September 2013, the rapper released his eighth mixtape, Dream Chasers 3, which featured numerous guest appearances by other popular rappers such as Future, Yo Gotti, Diddy, and Nicki Minaj.
He was arrested in 2005 after he was charged with illegal possession of a fireman during a trip to the corner store. According to the rapper, during the incident, the officers brutally beat him up and tore one of his braids out of his scalp, and he got bruises and a badly swollen eye because one of the officers hit him in the face.
Mill has a sister Nasheema Williams and two beloved sons, Murad Williams and Rihmeek Williams from his former girlfriend Fahimah Raheem. He loves his sons and always shares his happy moments with them.
Meek Mill’s Relationship With Nicki Minaj
Rappers Meek Mill and Nicki Minaj are dated two years from the beginning of 2015. They went public with their relationship in 2015, the same year he released his second studio album Dreams Worth More Than Money.
He accompanied them as a support act on their world tour in the same year. During this time Meek Mill experienced a very public feud with rapper Drake, which was one of the most publicized rap battles in recent pop culture history.
