Jarad Higgins was born on December 2, 1998, in Chicago, Illinois. His parents divorced when he was three years old, so Wrld was raised by his mother together with his older brother.
He attended Homewood-Flossmoor High School after the family moved to Homewood, Illinois, and grew up listening to rock and pop music as his religious and conservative mother did not let him listen to hip-hop.
