Juice Wrld is known for his cross-genre music style and has released other songs, including Legends and Lucid Dreams. His music includes not only hip-hop but also RnB, emo-rap, and cloud rap. Juice Wrld is currently positioned among the fast-rising artists waiting to take the world by storm, and as he prepares to do so, let’s take a look at his profile.
Juice Wrld Biography (Age)
Jarad Higgins was born on December 2, 1998, in Chicago, Illinois. His parents divorced when he was three years old, so Wrld was raised by his mother together with his older brother.
He attended Homewood-Flossmoor High School after the family moved to Homewood, Illinois, and grew up listening to rock and pop music as his religious and conservative mother did not let him listen to hip-hop. He took piano, guitar, and drum lessons and played trumpet for his school’s band during his school years. All this made his passion for music grow and drove his career in the entertainment industry.
Juice Wrld became interested in rapping in the first year of high school but started taking it more seriously in the second year. He first used the name Juicethekidd on his first title Forever, which was released on SoundCloud in 2015. He later adopted his current stage name Juice Wrld, inspired by his admiration for the late rapper Tupac Shakur and the film Juice – which starred Janet Jackson. In his opinion, the name stands for taking over world domination.
Wrld uploaded most of his tracts to SoundCloud via his cell phone when he was in his second year of high school. His passion for music was so intense that he couldn’t keep a factory job he got more than two weeks before he was fired.
Nonetheless, the guy with good lyrics multiplied his audience after he joined Internet Money and released his first full-length EP, 9 9 9, with the breakout song “Lucid Dreams” on June 15, 2017.
In the same year, December 2017 to be exact, Juice Wrld’s three-part EP Nothings Different was released. It took a long time before his title “All Girls Are the Same” gained great popularity on the internet, mainly due to its strong presence in several hip-hop blogs. In February 2018 his music video was released, which earned him a $3 million deal with Interscope Records.
All Girls Are the Same” received high praise and was named Best New Music by online magazine Pitchfork. It became Wrld’s first entry into the Billboard charts at number 92 on the Hot 100, while his single Lucid Dreams climbed to number 3 on the Billboard charts and was one of the biggest stream songs of 2018.
Wrld repeated these successes with the release of his first studio album, Goodbye & Good Riddance, on May 23, 2018. Shortly after the death of rappers Lil Peep and XXTentacion, Juice Wrld released an EP with two songs, Too Soon…, as a tribute to the young emerging artists whose lives were cut short.
The single “Legends” from the EP made it to number 65 in the charts. His other songs and albums include Goodbye & Good Riddance, which debuted at #67 on the Billboard Hot 100; Wasted, his first single with a collaboration with Lil Uzi Vert; and Motions. Wrld has worked on an album with Travis Scott, which can be heard on the song No Bystanders, which was later released at #31 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The young rapper announced his first WRLD domination tour on July 20, 2018, on which he performed with other acts such as Lil Mosey and YBN Vrodae. At his first late-night TV debut on August 8, 2018, Wrld played the song Lucid Dreams for the live audience. His musical style is described as crossover freestyle and genre, largely influenced by other famous artists such as Eminem, Wu-Tang Clan, and of course Tupac.
Juice Wrld Net Worth
Considering the fact that he has achieved great popularity in his few years in the entertainment industry, Juice Wrld is already raking in a handsome sum of money. But as we have already mentioned, his signed contract with Interscope Records is worth a handsome $3,000,000 (2018), which makes him one million at the age of 19.
Therefore, his net assets are provisionally estimated to be exactly this amount. But of course, this does not include his music sales, because one thing is certain, the fixed net worth will skyrocket if his musical talent is even remotely recognizable.
As far as his size is concerned, Juice Wrld is not an oversized man. He simply has the average height of an American man of 5’10” (1.78 m).
Wrld live with his girlfriend Alexa in Los Angeles. It isn’t clear when they started dating, but he once expressed his affection for her on Twitter saying he loves his GF [girlfriend] as well as his fans and hoped they continue to stand by him as he grows and achieves the goal he has always wanted.
Is He Dead?
On whether Juice Wrld is dead, we say the rising star rapper is alive and soaring to a greater height of his career. Although some of his tweets indicate his anxiety moods, whether that is due to post-stage performance or something he suffered since childhood, is what we are yet to confirm.
