Jordan Clarkson Early Life and Rise to Fame
The Cavaliers Guard was born on 7 June 1992 in Tampa, Florida. He grew up here for a while before his family later moved to San Antonio.
Jordan received his high school education at Karen Wagner College. After he finished, he went to the University of Tulsa before being transferred to the University of Missouri in 2013. His college career has been instrumental in several accomplishments, including promotion to the C-USA All-Freshman Team in 2011 and the first Team All-C-USA in 2012, and was named the second Team All-SEC in 2014.
As has obviously been mentioned before, he had a very successful college career at both universities, and for this reason, he made it and was selected for the 2014 NBA Draft.
He then became the only second player of Philippine descent since 1978 to play in the National Basketball Association, the first being Raymond Townsend, who played until 1982.

Professional Career
After the Washington Wizards selected him, they immediately switched him to the Los Angeles Lakers, and that’s where he started his professional runs. At the end of his first season, he made it as one of the All-Rookie First Teams of the NBA. This was all the more significant as he was not able to play many games in the first half of the season.
Jordan remained with the team until 2018 when he joined the Cleveland Cavaliers after he and Larry Nance Jr. were traded for Isaiah Thomas Guards and striker Channing Frye. The deal would mean that the Lakers would have the choice in the first round of the 2018 draft.
His career to date has been crowned with successes such as the NBA All-Rookie First Team 2015, Rookie of the Month in March of the same year, and participation in the Rising Stars Challenge 2016.

When Jordan was young, his father, Mike Clarkson, and his mother, Annette Davis, divorced. As already mentioned, he is a Filipino American; while his father is American (African American), his mother is from the Philippines.
