Jim Breuer is an American actor, stand-up comedian, and radio presenter. As a comedian, he has proved to be very versatile over the years, taking on improvisational, observational, musical, character, and self-ironic comedies. Jim was a cast member of the long-running, award-winning sketch show Saturday Night Live from 1995 to 1998. James E. Breuer was born on 21 June 1967 in Valley Stream, New York. He attended Valley Stream Central High School, where he met Fred Armisen, who later also became a member of the SNL.

His television career began when he appeared on the weekly TV show of the Uptown Comedy Club before joining Saturday Night Live. During his time at SNL, his characters were well received and he was a valued member of the cast. He also appeared in a guest role in the critically acclaimed series Home Improvement. Jim was later to star in the television series Buddies but was removed from the series after shooting the pilot. In any case, the series was unfortunately short-lived.

In 1998 he started as a presenter of the “Jim Breuer Show”, which was broadcasted on MTV. The show was broadcast on weekdays at 5:30 pm and showed Jim, who performed sketches as different characters, as well as various guest comics, including Tracy Morgan, Judah Friedlander, and Jeff Ross.

In 2002 he landed his first Comedy Central special, Hardcore. That same year, he also released Smoke ‘n’ Breu, his comedy album. The comedian received his second Comedy Central-Special, Let’s Clear The Air, in 2009, and it became one of the highest-rated Comedy Central-Specials in his history.
