Quite a number of Hollywood stars have appeared outside the American borders, especially in neighboring Canada, where the actress Brooke D’Orsay comes from. The television and film actress has experienced a steady rise in her acting career, starting in her home country Canada. Television lovers would recognize her by her role as Paige Collins in the comedy-drama Royal Pains by USA Network. Her role as Kate in the successful CBS show Two and a Half Men also introduced her to many who did not know about her before. Here is a look at the actress’s private life.
Brooke D’Orsay’s Family Background
The talented Canadian actress was born on February 17, 1982, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada as the daughter of William D’Orsay and Jackie D’Orsay. While her mother worked as a chemistry laboratory assistant at a local university, her father William was a professor at the same institution. The D’Orsay’s go back to the Huguenots – French Protestants who were popular for Calvinism (based on the teachings of the theologian John Calvin) in the 16th and 17th centuries. Following persecution by the French Catholics, the Huguenots were scattered throughout Europe. Brooke D’Orsay’s family could well be described as bourgeois; she grew up alongside her brother John D’Orsay, who now works as a web developer. She attended her local high school and graduated at the age of 16.
What’s Brooke D’Orsay’s Relationship Status?
If there is one aspect of D’Orsay’s life that remains hidden, it is her personal life. The actress has never talked much about what happens outside of acting in her life, and that has remained pretty much the same over the years. She may have become a fixture in Hallmark romantic films, but little or nothing is publicly known about the actress’s real romantic relationships.
The one time D’Orsay was publicly romantically involved with someone was in 2011 when it was speculated that she was in a relationship with American actor and filmmaker Greg Coolidge. Coolidge has been active in Hollywood since 1995 and is known for the comedy film Employee of the Month (2006) and the comedic television series The Troop (2010). After speculation about their romance, D’Orsay finally revealed in an interview in 2012 that they were actually together. She also revealed that they had both started making wedding plans, but months passed and there was no sign of a wedding between the two.
In March 2013, the real estate agent reported that the actress had made available for rent the 3 beds, 3 baths, and the 2400 square meter Hollywood Hills property that she shared with Coolidge. Although neither couple told the public about the state of their relationship, it was quite obvious that they had separated and gone their separate ways.
While Brooke D’Orsay had since spoken very privately about their romantic relationships, Coolidge was somewhat open. Starting in 2014, he began showing off photos of his new girlfriend, a certain Jill Scheid, in social media. No! She is not in the film industry. She had her first public appearance alongside Coolidge in 2016 at the premiere of his film Ride Along 2, a sequel to the first film released in 2014. From Coolidge’s Instagram feed it appears that he is still in a relationship with Jill Scheid. D’Orsay, on the other hand, does not seem to have any social media accounts.
