The talented Canadian actress was born on February 17, 1982, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada as the daughter of William D’Orsay and Jackie D’Orsay. While her mother worked as a chemistry laboratory assistant at a local university, her father William was a professor at the same institution. The D’Orsay’s go back to the Huguenots – French Protestants who were popular for Calvinism (based on the teachings of the theologian John Calvin) in the 16th and 17th centuries. Following persecution by the French Catholics, the Huguenots were scattered throughout Europe. Brooke D’Orsay’s family could well be described as bourgeois; she grew up alongside her brother John D’Orsay, who now works as a web developer. Coolidge has been active in Hollywood since 1995 and is known for the comedy film Employee of the Month (2006) and the comedic television series The Troop (2010). After speculation about their romance, D’Orsay finally revealed in an interview in 2012 that they were actually together. She also revealed that they had both started making wedding plans, but months passed and there was no sign of a wedding between the two.
