David Johnson may be an ordinary guy, but he has an undeniably exceptional talent. As an American football running back for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League (NFL) he has shown amazing strength and agility.

The Cardinal’s running back was born David Jerome Johnson on December 16, 1991, in Memphis, Tennessee, USA. The name of his father is not known, but his mother is Regina Johnson. He belonged to a group of triplets together with his two sisters Darnecia and Danielle, who were born in a family of six children. Looking for a way to lighten the burden of raising a handful of children for his single mother, David turned to organized sports, a course that would become her rope to freedom. At first, it was dodgeball, athletics, and later football, a game that seemed to come naturally to him and in which, over the years, he has shown that he is a king.
He attended Clinton High School in Clinton, Iowa, where he excelled in athletics, football, and basketball. David set many records as a top athlete in his high school. His outstanding records include touchdowns in a single season, career receptions, career receptions, total offense, and individual game records for touchdowns in a single season. He was also selected as an outstanding offensive player for Clinton High as a senior in 2009 and was invited to play in the 2010 Shrine Bowl All-Star Game. Even with his career profile in high school, David maintained a GPA of over 3.0 throughout his school years. After a successful high school career, he became involved with the University of Northern Iowa where he was to play college football.

Throughout his college career from 2010 to 2014, David Johnson maintained his excellent form, although he retired in 2010 and had to play his first season in 2011. As he is used to setting records, he did not hesitate to repeat the trend in college and would do even better after college. David broke school records, including career and single-season scores for hurried yards, hurried touchdowns, hurried yards per game, career universal yards, and overall touchdowns.
After a stellar career in college, David Johnson was selected by the Arizona Cardinals for the third round (86th in total) of the 2015 NFL Draft. He was the seventh running back to be drafted this year and the only player in his college to be drafted in 2015. The running back also became the second North Iowa player selected by the Cardinals, following Brandon Keith in 2008. In May 2015, he signed a four-year contract with the Cardinals worth $2.9 million.
David Johnson made his career debut in a game against the New Orleans Saints in September 2015, and after his first two games, the second against the Chicago Bears, he became the first player in NFL history to score touchdowns in his first two games through a run, pass and kick return. The following season was a breakout season for him, finishing with 293 Carries for 1,239 hurried yards with 16 hurried touchdowns. He also finished seventh in the NFL for “Rush Yards”, second for “Rush Touchdowns” and was named First All-Pro Team.

The running back standout married Meghan Brock in 2016. Meghan Brock was born in Cedar Falls, Iowa, and graduated from Cedar Falls High School and later from the University of Northern Iowa. She is a registered nurse and has attended nursing courses in Kirkwood. She also worked at NewAldaya Lifescapes.

After spending some time together, they became engaged in June 2015 and appeared on the TV documentary Amazon.com: All or nothing: A Season with the Arizona Cardinals in 2016 before their wedding. Finally, the day came when they exchanged their vows and became engaged to each other for life.
David and Meghan entered into the covenant of marriage on April 8, 2016, in Tempe, Arizona. A few months later, on July 8, 2016, the couple quickly announced that they would separate from their first child. Their young son, David Jerome Johnson Jr., arrived on January 19, 2017, a few weeks before the Super Bowl LI, which took place on February 5.
