She is of Puerto Rican descent and was born in Queens, New York on December 27, 1990. This makes her an American citizen. Zelina Vega grew up in a family that loved sports; she played baseball, practiced swimming, and often watched wrestling with her father Michael and brother Timothy. Her parents later divorced, when she and her brother were tender with each other but still kept in touch.
At the age of 17, Zelina Vega decided to pursue a career in wrestling, and so she began training under Javi-Air, Azrieal, and T.J. Perkins.
