Aaron Carter is an American-born hip-hop artist. At the age of 10, he released his debut album of the same name and became a sensation among teenagers and pre-teens in the late 1990s. Between 1997 and 2002 he released 4 studio albums, of which millions of copies were sold worldwide. After a break of more than ten years, Carter returned to making music with the release of his fifth studio album LØVË in February 2018.

Aaron Charles Carter was born on December 7, 1987, in Tampa, Florida, the son of Jane Elizabeth (née Spaulding) and Robert Gene Carter. An early bloomer, he began performing at the age of 7 with a local band “Dead End”, which he formed with his buddies from a rock school. However, he left the band after 2 years due to differences in the choice of music genres; he preferred pop while the other members were interested in alternative rock.
Carter had his first solo performance as the opening act of a Backstreet Boys concert, which took place in Berlin in March 1997. Shortly after that, he grabbed a record deal, followed by the release of his debut single. In December 1997, his self-titled debut album Aaron Carter was released, which was awarded gold in the USA and several European countries. Almost 3 years later (in September 2000) his second album Aaron’s Party (Come Get It) was released. The album proved to be more successful than the first one, as it was massively broadcast on Disney and Nickelodeon and eventually achieved triple platinum certification in the USA. As a result, its popularity skyrocketed as it appeared with some of the biggest stars of the time and also appeared as a guest star on several shows on the Disney Channel and Nickelodeon.
Carter’s third album, Oh Aaron, was released in August 2001, with the singer’s accompanying action figure. In relatively quick succession, his fourth album Another Earthquake! was released in September 2002, although it was not as successful as the previous albums. The album turned out to be his last re-release in a very long time. During his long hiatus, Carter continued to perform and also recorded a few singles, although he did not release a new album. He went on a remix tour in 2005 and also starred in movies like Supercross (2005) and Popstar (2005). In 2009 he played in the 9th season of Dancing with the Stars, where he finally finished fifth.
Aaron Carter finally resumed his tour in February 2013. This was followed by the release of the EP The Music Never Stopped, his first EP in over ten years. In the following years, he released several more singles and another EP, and finally, in February 2018, he released his fifth studio album LØVË.

Aaron Carter grew up with 4 siblings, his twin sister Angel, the other sisters Bobbie Jean and Leslie, and an older brother named Nick. Aaron and his siblings appeared on the short-lived E! reality TV show House of Carters in 2006. Unfortunately, his sister Leslie passed away in January 2012 at the age of 25.
