Trey Lyles Career
Trey Lyles began his basketball career from high school with the support of his father, who was his basketball coach cum coach. During his freshman year in 2010, he signed up for Indiana, but later, in 2012, his commitment was revoked.
On November 5, 2013, Lyles signed a letter of intent to play and study at the University of Kentucky. In his senior year, he averaged 23.7 points, 12.9 rebounds, and 3.5 assists and led his school team to the IHSAA Class 4A State Championship game with a 63-59 win over Lake Central.
At the end of his senior year at Arsenal Tech, Lyles was elected Mr. Basketball of the State of Indiana. He did not get off to a good start to being accepted to college in Kentucky on June 12, 2014. An unspecified leg injury kept him inactive for seven days (August 10-17) at the six-game Kentucky exhibition series in Nassau, Bahamas.
Nonetheless, he showed outstanding ability and was named All-SEC Freshman Team in 2015. He also helped lead the Wildcats to participate in the NCAA Final Four 2015.
Lyle made his professional debut after being voted 12th overall by Utah Jazz in the 2015 NBA Draft. His skills in the game include Running, dribbling, jumping, shooting, and passing. In the first two months of his rookie season, the Power Forward averaged 3.0 points and 3.6 rebounds per game.

With 13 points against the Houston Rockets on January 4, he scored double digits for the first time, and a few days later, on January 9, he recorded 10 rebounds in a win over the Miami Heat and followed that up with a season-high of 19 points in a defeat to the Sacramento Kings.
The following month, Lyles was named a Rising Stars Challenge participant in the 2016 NBA All-Star Weekend. During the entire season with Utah (2015-2017), he played 151 games and scored a total of 534 rebounds and 928 points.
Trey Lyles was sold to the Denver Nuggets on June 22, 2017, along with the draft rights to Tyler Lydon. So far he has played 73 games with the Nuggets and scored 347 rebounds and 724 points. On January 5, 2018, he scored a career-high of 26 points with a 99-91 win over his former team, Utah Jazz.
In his career, Lyles has represented both Canada and the United States. Trey Anthony Lyles was born in Saskatoon, Canada on November 5, 1995, and grew up with his parents. His mother Jasenka Lyles is Canadian and his father Thomas Lyles is American. He also has a brother, Kyle, and 2 sisters, Kristina and Tanika.
