It would be hard to find someone who does not know that Kate Bolduan is an American radio journalist, a CNN presenter based in New York City. Having hosted several shows for the popular station over the years, it is only natural that Kate has become one of the familiar faces of Cable News Network.

The CNN presenter is the third child of her parents’ four daughters. She was born on July 28, 1983, and her birthplace was Goshen, Indiana. Although many details of her early life were eclipsed by her career, it would not be inappropriate to assume that she had a normal and enjoyable childhood, as both parents were medical professionals. Her mother was once a nurse and her father a doctor, so they were probably able to provide their children with a comfortable upbringing.
Katherine Jean Bolduan grew up in an apple orchard in Goshen. As she once revealed, when she was a child her room was “all blue with trains and teddy bears”, her parents learned that they would have a male child.
She went to school at a public high school, Goshen High School, and was quite a brilliant and popular child. When she decided to continue her studies after high school, Kate moved to a private research university in Washington D.C. As in high school, Bolduan was an active student in college. While she was drawing up the plan for her career, she was involved with the activities of a student drama organization and the school’s women’s volleyball team. Eventually, she studied in Madrid, Spain, where she learned to speak Spanish.

Kate Bolduan lost no time in starting her career. In 2005 she became a reporter for WTVD-TV in Raleigh, North Carolina, the same year she graduated from George Washington. She worked for other media outlets such as House & Garden magazine, and according to her CNN profile, her television career began with NBC News and MSNBC in Washington, D.C., where she worked as a production assistant.

Kate Bolduan is based in the network’s New York office, where, among other things, she is co-hosting At This Hour together with Kate Bolduan. She joined CNN in 2007 as a national correspondent for CNN Newsource. Her responsibilities included delivering reports and interrupting coverage. It is said that she did this for over 800 members of CNN Newsource. She covered the 2008 presidential election and major events across the country, from the O.J. Simpson robbery to the Minneapolis Bridge collapse and more.
Kate was later to be appointed as a correspondent for general affairs. In this capacity, she was credited with reporting on many stories ranging from the Christmas Day bombing in 2009 to the introduction of the government’s stimulus program that same year, such as the McDonald v. The radio journalist was born of the medical doctors Dr. Jeffrey and Nadine Bolduan; she is the third of her four daughters. Kate’s inheritance has been traced back to Chenee, Belgium. In one of her feature articles, she revealed that her great-great-grandfather Leon Emile Rousselle first arrived in America in 1912. Shortly afterward Leon’s pregnant wife Louise Labhaye Rousselle came to the country with her two-year-old daughter to join him.
Kate’s mother has had quite a run-in with the law. Apart from being sentenced to one year’s imprisonment for drunk driving and colliding with a man, she had been charged with negligent homicide decades earlier. This happened after her jet ski crashed on two children and killed a nine-year-old girl. According to police reports, the charge was later dropped.

It is no secret that Kate Bolduan is married, she is the wife of Michael Gershenson since May 2010. Although it is hard to say how they met when they started dating and eventually married, Kate’s conversion to Judaism has often been attributed to the connection between Bolduan and Gershenson.

Michael trained at the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He works for Carlyle as a broker overseeing all aspects of real estate investments in New York and Boston. Prior to joining Carlyle, Michael worked at Deutsche Banc Alex.
Sometime in 2014, it turned out that Kate and Michael are expecting their first child. The journalist later confirmed this and expressed that they are very much looking forward to starting their family. September 2014 came and she gave birth to Cecelia Eve Gershenson. A few years later (mid-2017) it was announced that the family was expecting another child. Again Kate confirmed this with a picture of her daughter Cecelia as shown below.

In December 2017 Kate gave birth to the second daughter of the family, her name is Delphine Esther Gershenson.
