Normani Hamilton became known as the finalist of the second season of the music talent show X Factor 2012 with the group Fifth Harmony. As a dancer, Hamilton also took part in the 24th season of Dancing with the Stars, where she reached the finals and finished third alongside her partner, professional dancer Valentin Chmerkovskiy.

Hamilton was born Normani Kordei Hamilton in Atlanta, Georgia on May 31, 1996, the son of parents Derrick and Andrea Hamilton, who raised her in New Orleans. Camila Cabello left the group sometime in 2017, but the group continued as a quartet of the same name and released their self-titled album in 2017.
Besides working with Fifth Harmony, Hamilton has worked on solo projects. On 21 October 2017, it was reported that Normani had signed with the management company and record label S10 Entertainment.
