Biography of Noah Syndergaard
Noah Seth Syndergaard was born in Mansfield, Texas, on August 29, 1992, the son of Heidi and Brad Syndergaard. When he was born, his mother Heidi was employed by Abbott Laboratories, while his father Brad was described as a farm boy from Iowa. He had two other siblings from his father’s previous marriage but was the only child his mother bore to his father.
Syndergaard grew up, and unlike many other Texas children, he preferred to go to baseball rather than soccer, which was the city’s favorite. His parents fully supported his choice and encouraged him to play baseball. He hit his first home run over the fence at the age of 7 and was personally a big fan of the Texas Rangers in the MLB.
For his education, Syndergaard attended Mansfield Legacy High School in Mansfield, Texas, where he also played basketball at that time. For him, the choice of college was a college selection based entirely on where baseball was strongly represented. Noah started looking for coaches at several universities such as the University of Nebraska, the University of Oklahoma, and Baylor University, but it was Dallas Baptist University that offered him a college baseball scholarship, so he signed up to play for the Dallas Baptist Patriots.
However, this was only temporary, as Noah Syndergaard decided to sign for the Toronto Blue Jays after being selected in the first round of 38 in the 2010 MLB Draft. The Blue Jays offered him a signature bonus of $600,000 to renounce his commitment to the Dallas Baptist Patriots.

Like any other MLB newcomer, he began to work his way up to the main team, but this was short-lived as he was transferred to the New York Mets in 2012 along with his teammates Travis d’Arnaud, John Buck, and Wuilmer Becerra to make room for R.A. Dickey, Josh Thole and Mike Nickeas in the Jays’ squad. In the Mets, his performances were no less impressive as he continued to prove his worth in the lower leagues and was even selected for the 2013 All-Star Futures Game.
He made his MLB debut on 12 May 2015 in a game against the Chicago Cubs that unfortunately ended in a 6-1 defeat for his side.
