Miranda Lambert is to country music what Taylor Swift is to pop music In what sense? some would ask. Well, we can’t imagine any other country singer who turns her real-life experiences (including romance) into music as the former Mrs. Shelton does. Since her humble beginnings in the small town of Lindale, Texas, where her family once had no place to live, Lambert has come a long way. A celebrated country icon, Lambert has gone platinum on all of her records, winning numerous awards, including Grammys and the Academy of Country Music Awards.

Miranda Lambert Bio & Age

On November 10, 1983, Rick and Bev (nee Hughes) Lambert welcomed their daughter Miranda Leigh Lambert into the world. Originally born in Longview, Lambert and her parents would later move to Lindale, Texas. She is of English, Irish and Indian descent. The singer grew up well with her parents, who worked as private detectives until the oil crisis hit Texas and her family lost everything, including their home. It was a difficult time for Miranda, her parents, and her younger brother Luke as they spent several months moving from one friend’s or relative’s house to another.

Things began to improve for the Lamberts after their private investigation business picked up again. Rick and Bev came to work on the case of President Bill Clinton’s impeachment. As a child, Miranda helped with some of these cases, but the work of a snooping detective was far from doing what she was appointed to do. It was the musical side of her father that she admired more and wanted to emulate.

Before he tried his hand at private investigating, Mr. Lambert was a member of a country-rock group called Contraband. Miranda, for her part, began singing professionally in high school, and at the age of 16, she participated in the Johnnie High Country Music Revue talent show in Arlington, Texas.

Her father taught her to play the guitar, and she began writing her own songs. At the age of 19, she entered another talent contest, the Nashville Star, where she had more success than in the first one. She finished third and got a record deal with Epic Records.

Her first studio album Kerosin, released in summer 2004, was a huge success. Her debut at the top of the Billboard Top Country Album Charts opened the doors to further successes to follow. Miranda wrote and co-composed all the tracks on the album with the help of her father.

Miranda Lambert then took the country music industry by storm and released one hit after another. She sold over 7 million records in the United States alone. In her third nomination, Lambert won her first Grammy Award for best female country vocal performance for her song “The House That Built Me”. She received her second Grammy in 2015 when her album went platinum for Best Country Album. Since 2009 she has won the ACM award for Singer of the Year at least nine times in a row.

In recent years, since separating from her longtime flame and fellow countryman Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert has had to endure a series of relationships that were annoyingly short-lived. But don’t feel sorry for the singer, as she has revealed to the media that in hindsight it was a blessing, as her experiences with these relationships have helped her make some of her best music. Wherever the topic of Miranda Lambert’s love life is discussed, it would be incomplete without the mention of Blake Shelton. After all, they were the country’s power couple for about a decade.

Lambert and Shelton have been together since 2006, got engaged in 2010, married on May 14, 2011, and divorced on July 20, 2015. After their relationship with Shelton ended, their relationship problems began. While Shelton continued to build something solid with Gwen Stefani, Lambert struggled to find her dream man.

By December 2015, word had gotten around that Lambert had begun a romantic affair with R&B singer Anderson East (pictured above), whom she had met two months earlier in September at Nashville’s Live on the Green Music Festival. A year, two years, and the couple looked like they would last forever, but that was as far as they could go when they separated in 2017. Lambert then found love in the arms of Turnpike Troubadours frontman Evan Felker.

After they met for the first time, Felker was convinced that Lambert was the only one, and two weeks was what he needed to realize that he had to get rid of his estranged wife, Staci Nelson, forever. He hit her with divorce papers that they both signed by August 15, 2018. But the anger hit their paradise when it became known that Felker violated one of Lambert’s rules, ending their relationship the same month his divorce was finalized.
