Kristian Alfonso is a former figure skater, model, and American actress, best known for the role of Hope Williams Brady in the NBC drama series Days of Our Lives since 1983.

Kristian Alfonso was born on 5 September 1963 in Brockton, Massachusetts, USA, as Kristian-Joy Alfonso to Mr. Gino Alfonso and his beloved wife Joanne Alfonso. She started her career as a figure skater and won a gold medal at the Junior Olympic Figure Skating Championships, but her career in figure skating ended at the age of 13 due to a serious accident.
After the end of her skating career, Kristian switched to modeling, and by the age of 15, she had already appeared on the cover of over 30 magazines, including Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. Her first film appearance was in 1981 when she played Rock Hudson in the television movie The Starmaker. With her reputation as a model, her acting career took off in April 1983 when she played the role of Hope Williams in the soap opera Days of Our Lives.
Alfonso left the show in 1987 for two years as Pilar Ortega in the last two seasons of the nightly soap opera Falcon Crest. However, from April to July 1990, she briefly returned to the soap opera; this return culminated in the entire city of Salem believing that Hope had died.
In 1993 she left the show for the second time to star in the film Joshua Tree (1993 film) alongside Dolph Lundgren. In the film, she played a policeman who was kidnapped by an innocent convict on the run. In May 1994 she returned to the show for the third time as “Gina”, an amnesiac who looked a lot like Hope.
