Kelley Jakle is an American actress and singer-songwriter. She is best known for her role as Jessica in the music drama Pitch Perfect. As a singer, Kelley has released several non-album singles and at least two longer songs.

Kelley was born Kelley Alice Jakle on June 27, 1989, in Carmichael, California. She has two older brothers and is the only girl in her family. Kelley cultivated a passion for music at a very young age and therefore joined the Sacramento Children’s Choir. Kelley sang with the choir at sporting events. She was selected from hundreds of children across the country to sing in 2006 nationally televised San Francisco 49ers game.
Jakle also sang for American Idols. She attended Loretto High School, where she participated in school performances. She also began writing her own songs and formed a cappella group at high school.
She attended the University of Southern California with a major in communication. At USC, Kelley was the lead singer in a band called By the Way. In her first year of college, she released her first EP called Spare Change. Her band also released her self-titled EP in 2007.
Kelley joined the school’s Cappella group SoCal VoCals. With this group, she won the international a cappella college championship twice in 2008 and 2010.
After her first victory, the SoCals were selected to participate in the first season of NBC’s singing competition The Sing-Off. The group dropped out in the third round. Kelley returned to the competition in 2010 as part of another group called The Backbeats. This time they were more successful and took third place.
After graduating from USC, Kelley began an acting career in Los Angeles. Her first role was that of Jessica in Pitch Perfect, which later became a huge success and helped her to gain great recognition.
In 2015 Kelley played a role in 42, a biography of baseball player Jackie Robinson. In the film, Harrison Ford also played the role of Branch Rickey – Jakle’s great-grandfather. Branch Rickey was a Major League Baseball manager who made history by breaking the MLB color barrier when he signed African-American player Jackie Robinson.

Kelley has been in some relationships that have attracted media attention. The first was with her Pitch Perfect co-star Adam DeVine. The duo had several red carpet appearances together, including a premiere of Pitch Perfect, where DeVine gave her a kiss on the cheek.
Although it was obvious that the couple were a couple, they never really admitted it publicly until another red-carpet event in 2013, when Jakle confirmed their relationship status with her own mouth. When asked who she would like to kiss in terms of the Best Kiss category of the evening, Jakle Boldy said, “I have to be biased and say my boyfriend Adam Devine!
Well, their relationship ended in 2015, Adam moved on with Chloe Bridges, while Jakle soon began displaying her new flame on Instagram. This new guy is Days of Our Lives, Alain Mark Hapka.
The couple seems to have been strong since 2015, and they couldn’t look better together, as can be seen in the many photos Kelley shared on Instagram.
Mark has also posted photos of Kelley on his Instagram page. None of them, however, has publicly admitted to being in a relationship.
