Josephine Marie Canseco was born on 5 November 1996 in Weston Florida, USA, as the only child of the famous duo Jose Canseco and Jessica Sekley.
Her father Jose was born in Havana, Cuba on July 2, 1964, together with his twin brother Ozzie, who is also a former Major League player. He was an outfield player in Major League Baseball (MLB) and designated batsman, establishing himself as one of the best batsmen in the game during his time with the Oakland A’s. After his baseball career, he also took part in boxing matches and mixed martial arts.
Josie’s mother, Jessica, was born on December 4, 1972, in Ashland, Ohio. She was married to Jose from 1996 to 1999 when her marriage, unfortunately, ended in divorce. Later, on June 23, 2007, she remarried a television star and plastic surgeon, Garth Fisher, but she too was divorced in 2011. Jessica wrote her autobiography Juicy: Confessions of a Former Baseball Wife, in which she documents her married life with Jose. She published the book in 2005, the same year her former husband published his memoirs Juiced: Wild Times, Wild Times, Tough Roids, Smash Hits & How Baseball Grows Up.
