The singer was born on 30 December 1986 in Hereford, England, as Elena Jane Goulding. Ellie and her 3 siblings were raised mostly by her mother after her biological father left the family when she was a little girl of 5 years. The difficulties of her childhood continued even after her mother married Tracy Goulding a second time.
