Elizabeth Berkley’s Bio
The versatile actress was named Elizabeth Berkley Lauren when she was born in Farmington Hills on July 28, 1972, the daughter of parents Fred Berkley (lawyer) and Jere Berkley (owner of a gift basket store). She grew up with her older brother Jason in the affluent suburbs of Oakland County, Michigan. For her high school graduation, Elizabeth Berkely first enrolled at a private school, the Cranbrook Kingswood School in Bloomfield Hills, before moving to North Farmington High School, which she finally graduated from in 1990.
Her passion for the arts began early when she developed a great love of dancing. This prompted her parents to prepare the basement in her house, where she could practice whenever she wanted.
