Daniel Sturridge is a football player who is definitely an asset to any team he is in, and that is the only simple reason why he has been able to play for England at any level. The amazing striker, who became famous for his dance where he alternates each arm after a goal, plays for Liverpool FC in the English Premier League (EPL).
Daniel Sturridge’s Biography
The Liverpool frontman was born as Daniel Andre Sturridge on September 1, 1989, in Birmingham, England. Here he grew up alongside his brother Leon Sturridge and his older sister Cherelle Sturridge. His parents, Grace and Michael Sturridge, both came from Jamaica. Since he grew up in Hockley, a Birmingham area where the crime was rife, his parents and his older brother saved him from becoming a victim or even a partner in it.
Daniel comes from a family that loved football and also had his father as a professional footballer. This helped him to find his way around the sport at an early age with the help of his father, who acted as his coach. As his talent needed to be developed professionally, he joined Cadbury Athletic at the age of six to begin his youth career. After moving to Aston Villa, Coventry City, and Manchester City in continuation of his youth career, he was promoted to the senior national team of Manchester City in 2006 and began his professional career.
With 21 games and 5 goals, the striker moved to Chelsea FC in 2009, where he remained until 2013 when he was signed by Liverpool. Before leaving the blues, he spent some time on loan with the Bolton Wanderers.
Although his career at Anfield was interrupted by injury problems, Daniel Sturridge was still able to impress by the fact that by the time he was on the pitch 100 times for the club, he had already scored 49 impressive goals, on average almost one goal in two games.
The striker, who says he does everything through Christ, has a number of achievements to his credit, including the Premier League title he won with Chelsea in 2010 and two FA Cups. More than anything else, he has also won the UEFA Champions League with the club in 2012. He was named PFA Team of the Year for the 2013/2014 season and reached the UEFA Europa League 2015-16 finals, in which Liverpool lost to Seville.
The fast-paced striker also has an interesting international career with the English soccer team, which he started at the U-16 level in 2004, before playing at all levels including U-21, before earning a reputation for wearing the national colors in 2011.
Somehow the injuries did not allow him to play many games for the Three Lions, but he was able to see the back of the net 8 times in 26 games until he played for the country. He also played for the UK in the Olympics where he played 5 missions and scored 2 goals.
Gay, Girlfriend, and Wife
Although it is not known that he has dated many women in the past, Sturridge is not gay. He once revealed on his Twitter handle that he wants a woman who has inner beauty and is hardworking, but it seems that he hasn’t found her yet since he doesn’t have a wife yet.
Since Sturridge leads a very private life, not much is known about his dating life. What is known, however, is that he once dated the very beautiful model Jourdan Dunn. Apart from this relationship, there is no record that he had any other girlfriend, except for an unknown lady whose picture he posted on social media and with whom he was photographed.
Height and Weight
Daniel Sturridge, who is known for his movements like the Jagger Dance, may not be the tallest man in every field, but he still has a good height. More than that, he has an athletic build that complements his speed and tact, making him a good striker who can play for big clubs like Manchester City, Chelsea, and Liverpool.
He has a good height of 1.88 m (6 ft 2 in) and a body weight of 76.2 kg (168 lbs). His total body weight is not taken care of, but he still looks fit and has a good physique.
