Davis Matthew Webb was born on 22 January 1995 in Prosper, Texas, United States of America. The names of his parents are Matt Webb and Donna Webb. Further information about his childhood and his parents is not known, as Davis is a very private person who chooses to keep his private life out of the limelight.

Despite this, he was enrolled for his education at Keller High School, where he started playing soccer as a teenager. He later moved to Prosper High School in his hometown of Prosper, Texas, where he played soccer as a teenager. At Prosper High School, Davis was under the supervision of coach Kent Scott, which ultimately led to Davis helping his team advance from the district championship to the regional semi-finals of the Texas 4A.

His performance was unprecedented and earned him a great deal of praise and recognition. Some of these recognitions include being named the first Team All-District Junior and an honorable mention All-State. Before Davis Webb graduated from high school in 2012, he scored 2,658 passing yards, 589 rush yards, and 36 touchdowns.

NFL Career

Fresh out of high school, he was signed up by the “Texas Tech Red Raiders” after being rated a 4-star candidate by ESPN 013. In 2013, when he was in his first year of college, Webb took turns playing double roles. Sometimes he played as starter and backup quarterback for Baker Mayfield, who was also a freshman. While playing for the team, he contracted an unidentified disease that caused him to lose over 40 pounds a few days before the start of a new season, but he recovered quickly. He had his very first appearance in one of the competitions against TCU, made an outstanding run when he scored the winning touchdown against Bradley Marquez, who was the wide receiver at the time.

Davis Webb later announced, on January 27, 2016, that he would transfer from Texas Tech to the University of Colorado Boulder. However, he changed his mind and moved to the University of California, Berkeley, instead of the University of Colorado. On May 25, 2016, coach Sonny of Dykes announced that the deal for Davis’ transfer was closed and that he could now play for the California Golden Bears. Webb showed impressively good performance when he completed 382 of 620 passes (62%) for 4295 yards, 37 touchdowns, and twelve interceptions for a 135.63 QBR during his one-year season in California.

After completing his college education, Davis Webb’s career took on a different dimension when he was selected by the New York Giants in the third round (87th in total) of the 2017 NFL Draft, making him the fifth quarterback to be selected this year. As a result, on May 11, 2017, the New York Giants signed a four-year contract worth $3.53 million with a guaranteed signing bonus of $766,420.
