Kenneth Eric Church was born on May 3, 1977, the son of Rita and Ken Church in Granite Falls, North Carolina. When Eric was only thirteen years old, he bought a guitar and started writing songs. Some of the places where he performed were a little rough and he often got into fights from the stage.
